"Grace Under Fire Ball"
May 4th, Saturday Dinner 5-7pm, Ticketed Event, Pre-reservation Required
Dinner and Ball in Historic Havre de Grace as part of the 1812 Bicentennial Commemoration. Come for the whole weekend to enjoy the reenactment, ball, fireworks, parades, and more!
Featuring members of the top-rated English Country Dance Band:
Earl Gaddis, Mary Lea, and Jacqueline Schwab with special guest Emily O'Brien
Caller: Beverly Francis, a specialist in leading 1812-era balls for all levels of dancers.
Dinner 5-7pm, Made-to-order pasta station, salad, drinks, and dessert, $15.00
Ball 7-11pm with intermission for beverages, Hors d'oeuvres , and fireworks, $35.00
Ball Admission by pre-registration by May 2nd. Dinner reservations must be received by April 29th cutoff.
Dinner is being included as an option due to high expected visitation for the reenactment weekend to guarantee you dinner in a timely manner on site. Don’t compete with the crowd for food or parking!

Dances will be walked through; reenactors are experienced federal/regency era dancers. Experienced English Country Dancers are welcome. Dress is regency/1812 military or civilian or modern formal/ black tie. Soft-soled shoes only for the wood floor, no heel plates, swords, or firearms.
All dances will be appropriate to 1813 for our bicentennial celebration. Step back in time with us!
Limited tickets are available, registrations accepted in the order received. Email confirmation, dance instructions, and maps will be sent upon registration and name tag and booklet will be held at the door. If you cancel your registration and/or dinner reservation on or before April 20th, we will refund all but $10 of your registration.
At Steppingstone Farm Museum:
May 4th & 5th (Saturday and Sunday)- War of 1812 Encampment and Opening Weekend 1-4pm, Admission $3.00
Visit us on Opening Weekend with Rural Arts and Crafts demonstrations and a War of 1812 Encampment for the reenactors who are invading and defending Havre de Grace for the bicentennial commemoration.
At Steppingstone Farm Museum:
May 5th (Sunday)- A Regency Era Ladies Tea- 11am and 4pm seatings, Admission $25.00
Get into the spirit of 1812 with a Regency Ladies Tea, mingle with regency ladies and learn about manners, high society, Jane Austen, and other pastimes and intrigues of 200 years ago. Join us at the lovely Steppingstone Farm House for a Regency Tea featuring Professional Storyteller and Historic Reenactor Alisa Dupuy.
Tickets are $25, which includes your Afternoon Tea, the Performance, an exciting glimpse of the past, and a donation to the museum. Seats are limited due to the size of the historic home so we are offering 2 seatings, we will make every effort to seat groups together but tables are limited to 4-6 each so you may be seated with another party. The teas require attention for an hour and proper table manners and thus are not suitable for children under the age of 8 years. Your paypal confirmation is your receipt and places you on our seating list. We will contact you if we need clarification on your order or group size for seating purposes. Please let us know if you need special accommodations for accessibility or seating. Cancellations must be made 2 weeks before the tea for a refund unless we are able to sell your seats to someone on the waiting list. Thank you for your understanding.
